Join 91,000+ podcasters getting listener support with the Funding tag.

Add the payment or membership link you already use. Compatible podcast apps—including Pocket Casts, Podcast Addict, AntennaPod, and Podverse—can turn it into a visible Support button on your show page.

Three easy steps to listener support

Funding is a small setting in your podcast feed. It tells apps: “Here’s where fans can support this show.” Compatible apps turn that into a Support button.

1

Make sure your host supports Funding

Check the host list below. If yours already does, you’re set. If not, ask them to add it—or switch to a host that supports Funding.

2

Add your payment link and turn Funding on

Use a payment or membership link you already like—PayPal, Stripe, Patreon, Buy Me a Coffee, and more. Paste it into your host’s Funding or Listener Support setting.

3

Promote it with your audience

Tell listeners which apps show the Support button. Give them one clear instruction: “Open our show and tap Support.”

Support where fans already listen—using the payment tools you already have

The Funding Tag gives compatible apps a dedicated Support link for your show. Listeners tap it and land on the checkout or membership page you choose.

Right in the app

Give listeners a Support button on your show page instead of relying only on links inside episode notes.

Your payments, your rules

Keep the payment or membership account you already use. Funding simply points listeners to your link.

No platform lock-in

Funding is an open podcasting feature, not a wallet or app-store product. Any supporting app can read it.

Use any public payment or membership link

Choose the option that fits how you already accept support:

One-time support

Use a Stripe payment link, PayPal.Me, Square, Venmo, Cash App, Buy Me a Coffee, or Ko-fi.

Memberships

Send listeners to Patreon, Supporting Cast, Buy Me a Coffee, Ko-fi, or another recurring membership page.

Your own page or store

Link to a branded support page or a product in Shopify, WooCommerce, Gumroad, or your own website.

Host or app missing the Funding tag? Ask.

A short, specific request gives your host or app team the feature name, examples, and documentation they need to evaluate it.

Common questions

Do Apple Podcasts or Spotify show the Support button?
Not in the same way. Still turn Funding on for apps that do show it. On air, invite fans who want to support you to try Pocket Casts, Podcast Addict, AntennaPod, or Podverse— and keep your usual link in the show notes for everyone else.
Is this the same as (crypto) boosts?
No. Funding is everyday listener support—cards, PayPal, Patreon, and similar. Crypto boosts are a separate, optional path. You can use Funding without setting up a wallet or accepting cryptocurrency.
Will turning this on break my show?
It shouldn’t. Use your host’s Funding or Listener Support setting rather than editing technical feed files by hand. After you turn it on, give apps a little time to update, then check that your show still looks normal.
Will apps show my custom label?
Some apps say “Support,” some use your wording, and some show your text as a tip or hover. What matters most is that the link works and the label is clear.
I already put Patreon in the show notes—why bother?
Keep the show-note link. Funding also gives compatible apps a dedicated Support link on your show page. Using both reaches listeners in supported apps and listeners who rely on your show notes.
How do I know it’s working?
After you enable Funding in your host, wait a bit for apps to refresh, then open your show in an app that shows Support. If the button appears and opens your payment page, you’re set.
I don’t have a payment link yet.
Easiest starts: a Stripe payment link, PayPal.Me, Buy Me a Coffee, Ko-fi, or a Patreon page. Create one, paste it into your host’s Funding setting, and you’re ready to ask listeners.
